Who is KOBELCO?
The energy & chemicals segment of KOBELCO's Machinery Business Division is supported by two solution lineups: (1) compressors for
compressing process gases and (2) heat exchangers used for gas-based heat exchange.
Our business caters primarily to customers in the energy and chemical industries as well as niche fields. However, we will improve convenience in daily life and ensure stability in energy supply by combining our respective
solutions.

Our Technical Expertise
In our nearly 100 years of history, KOBELCO has created a variety of products that are notable for being Japan's first or largest. This is possible because we take a proactive approach in bringing in technologies, undertaking our own development, and
working to improve productivity and quality.
At the heart of these achievements lies our technical expertise, which has been handed down steadily from our founding to the
present day. Many of our components, including metalworking and welding, are produced at Takasago Works in Hyogo Prefecture. These
components are then integrated as systems to best meet the features and performance that are desired by our customers. This
technical expertise is one major reason why customers around the world choose us.
Our History
Over the course of our long history, not only have we built an extensive track record and list of accomplishments, but we have
also created a corporate culture where we are always ready for challenges. This includes overcoming natural disasters such as the
Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake in 1995 and various other failures.
We have continuously responded and adapted to changes in our environment. With this experience under our belt, we are unfazed by
change, no matter the circumstances. In fact, we would like to continue transforming ourselves for years to come and carve our name
in history. Our stance will never change.
